size is personal preferance. Check out Integrety, the boards will be available soon. do a search on this site about Integrety for more info. Cassete makes real good shapes, the down side is they don't hold up in water to well, Hopefully the 04's will be different.

Concaves have soooooo much more feel, its alot more like riding a skateboard...

Obviousally you would want a concave if you could afford it, the price difference is about $100... and I would say if you want to get good at wakeskating throw down for a concave.

Either board will be the same for a beginner, its all about the feel.

Most boards have the same or very similiar molds to them, i would suggest to buy the cheapest you can find!!

As for M3snow saying he was doing 180 ollies, and wake to wake tricks his first time wakeskating.... who do you think you are, Grubb, Byerly, McGuckin...etc. There is no way you did anything but fall the first time you got up... so stop playin bro.

napeterson, he could have been doing those tricks he claimed. i went wakeskating for my first time on saturdeay and was doing some wake jumps and lipslides and some ollies. plus i have 3 years of skating under my belt. you can't just misjudge people because they claim to do something just because you couldn't larn as fast. so i think you need to stop your bitching.

IMO

napsterson i never once said i could 180 ollie, look above and notice i said i could ollie and jump wake to wake, i got up first try, started riding around trying to ollie and at the end of my set i did a body varial. i have been skateboarding for 3 years now so i think that helps alot.

I personally prefer foam, my buddies have tried griptapes and come out with some rather nice raspberries, I dont really know or had the chance to feel the difference between the two though.

harsh napeterson. why are you so full of hate?! Laughing

i ride a cassette and love it. my little bro has a flat deck, and i prefer my concave more, but it doesnt make a difference to a beginner. i think that it is easier to kick the board around... imagine having a flat skate deck! that would just suck...

I got a lf concave 41 and wakeskated for the first time on saturday and got up the first try and I can cut around ollie cross the wakes no prob so I dont see the point of a beginner skate becuz if your a beginner like me I could still use a concave and that means I dont have to get a more advanced board because I already have one. Bottom Line: Get a concave becuase they are better and will save you money in the long run.

for a beginner It really doesn't matter flat or concave ,cause you won't be doing anything that concave would make better.... but as you progress you will want to have a concave, I've been riding with a guy lately who is pretty slick on the skate and when I ride with him I ride his concave cassette (reed) and I can really tell the difference, just in one set i already learned a fs bs to 270 out on his concave. Its really personal preference. I have a flat cause there was no such thing as a concave when I started wakeskating......ps I have an 01 flat cassette(the green one with the headphones), OLD i know. I AM buying a concave soon, just wanna wait and check out an integrity.
