I'm thinking 'bout getting the new reef byerlys in white, but where I ride the water is a little murky. Do you think they would get discolored? what type of material is the outer made of?

no, i have the white byerlys, i clean them once and a while and there fine. our lake is murky to.

I have the black ones and to answer your questions, No, mine haven't gotten very drity....from the lake that is. I do, however, often wear them as normal shoes sometimes and I have discovered they make my feet itch when I walk a while in them. Ex: from the car then around in the grocery store and back. Strange, I know. Also, here's somewhat of an idea of what the shoe is composed of....

I'm pretty sure you can wear them as normal shoes. The reefs would just drain water (if you got water on them) faster than a normal shoe.

They might not be intended to be worn as a normal shoe and therefore they make hurt your feet.

I don't see why you couldn't be able to

J-Dub, Where did you get that info? According to Reef they have a leather upper. I'm guessing they're talking about the part you have labeled as vinyl. Maybe this has changed since they came out. I always thought it was stupid that they'd make a wakeskate shoe leather. Confused

Kinda like they're crummy website.....busted "contact us" link....and how come none of those online vendors have their boardshorts? Stupid. We should be able to buy all their products from their website. And since the "contact us/email address" is dead, they'll never know how I feel.

I have a pair of black byerlys. Great wakeskate shoes, but damn they are cold when the wind blows... goes right through the shoes... no meant to be wore in cooler weather at all. LOL

yah i wear a vest and wakeskate shoes and on some days i bring my skate just to carry with me...

I got the Byerly`s like last week i have been wearing them around and to skool and to wakeskate there great shoes and wakeskating shoes very comfortable and i love them I know I`m going to buy another pair when i need them i would recomend them to everyone wakeskater or not wakeskater.

My friend got a white pair of byerly's and was worried about the same thing, wearing them a couple of times and the shoes looking like trash. He's prolly used them 10-15 times and they look good as new.
