I've done my research on this and all I could find was this thread: http://forums.wakeboarder.com/viewtopic.php?t=8691
The only thing it said was to search for cut-off wakeboard and the only thing that comes up when searching that is the same thread...

So any way, I would like to know how to do this and if it would be worth it to do it with this board:

We're trying to sell that board, but if we can't then I'd like to make a wakeskate our of it.... Any help would be appriciated...

Thanks, ViPeRic5

I just took the bindings off an old LF 143 and covered the top with gatorgrip. I went barefoot and got up the first try; had a blast. But that board is huge and it wasn't easy keeping it submerged enough for a deepwater start. It probably wouldn't work for more advanced riders doing kick-flips, etc because its just too big.

Thanks for your input tball, but I was more referring to sawing it off at the ends and making it the size of a real wakeskate... does anyone have any info about doing this?

I guess you could cut it with a jig saw or something and then like repar the fiberglass on the ends and the put gator grip or that fresh water traction type stuff on top

Sounds like too much work to cut, then repair. Try Ebay for a cheap skate.

I would like to, but I don't have any money right now....

but the main reason I was asking about this is that we need something to do with this board if noone wants to buy it... has anyone found the step-by-step guide to doing this yet?

viperic5, I've seen one before. It was either on the wb.com main site or on wakeworld. It looks like your board is perfect for it because it's thin and long. I'm guessing you'll be fine only trimming the tip and tail, leaving the edges alone. That should make the job a lot easier.

I would think the problem would be when you cut the tip and tail you expose the inner core of the board. I am not sure what that board is made from but it would take some time to seal or fiberglass both ends not to mention the equipment to do that. I know you dont have the money now but I have seen some sold for $50 which is a great price. Try putting that board up on ebay or sell it to a pawn shop or Play it Again Sports. I know its not the answer your looking for but it may save you in the end. Literally......

Yeah, I more wanted to sell the board anyway.... I put it up on the classifieds board on here, but haven't had any replys, so i was hoping to have something I could do with it other than let it sit around collecting dust... but, i believe I'll check out a pawn shop somewhere...

You know what else you can try is the local newspaper. There may be someone who is curious about the sport but doesnt want to fork over $400 for a complete setup. I think the pawn shop may give you the money you need as well.
