Hi I am new to this sport. And I have a question. We have a '86 Deck Boat. Kinda Stupid I know. But is it possible that I will be able to board behind it. And if I can is it also possible that I can put a monkey bar or pylon in it. Please help.

yeah, you can wakeboard behind anything. I used to ride behind a 1964 Glaston that was only 16 ft long. Go look through wakeboard mag and call up some tower companies, they should be able to tell you what will fit on your boat.

If you are new to the sport you probably don't need to worry about a tower or pylon. I not sure what a deck boat is but if it has enough power to pull you then it should be fine.

Not sure if you will be able to find a tower that is already made for your deck boat. You may need to have one custom made, but there are alot of companies that will do custom work, or you can have a welding shop make something up for you if you can come up with a design that you like, and is strong enough. _________________ If you do not like your job, you don't strike....You just go in there everyday and do it really half a$$ed.....Now that's the American way - Homer Simpson. |

I agree with bigmac, dont waste your money on a tower. Thats a couple grand that probably wont help you that much if your just a beginner. Just use the regular tow point from now. Maybe you could put that money towards a used ski boat or something.

You can usually find some sort of extended pylon which u can put racks on, making basically any boat, a wakeboardable boat, but dont get a tower, save the few grand and save it for a new boat, i was caught with this same dilema last year.
