OK I want to use Trex on my A frame but there are lots of different types of it. Which one is the right one.

Just the normal "gray" Trex you can get from Lowes works fine. One side has grooves and the other side is flat. just flip it over and use the flat side. Works fine. I believe they are 5 or 6 inches wide. We use 2 side by side....worked fine. We built this one (48ft) in about an hour with 3 people. _________________ www.DallasWakeboarding.com |

hahaha! beer bottles where some friends from the past excusions...some othe guys I ride with dont really like to hit sliders, so its mainly me and one other guy who do it.every now and then we get another friend who pitches in and gives us a hand.
closer pic?...Sorry man I dont have a camera anymore. Dropped it, and it broke, I'm in the process of getting a new one.
Lowes sells it. Its grayish and feels rough but once you slide it a few times it gets smoother. I've never seen Trex at Home Depot...or any kind of composite decking material for that matter....or atleast here in Dallas, TX. We always went to Lowes for the Trex.
This is another pic of a lil trainer we built out of the scrap trex left over...just a little 16fter.
I tried to Zoom in as much as possible before it gets to blurry. But you can sorta see it. Its the closet pic I have.
If you look close on the ends you can see the 2 "groves" on the bottom of the Trex, and you can see how we're using the other side, flat side, as the sliding surface. _________________ www.DallasWakeboarding.com |

No, we didnt put anything under the trex.
We built it in like 25 mins. its only like 16ft long..a trainer
16ft trainer which = waste of time
Some of my friends that are to scared to hit the real slider built that one just try.
16ft is so short your on it and off it in like 1 sec. plus its so low in the water..its like only 6 inches out of the water....its a joke. I think I hit it like 3-4 times. didnt notice any flex....probably cuz it goes by in like 1 sec. Not much of a slide really.
actually some guy came by who obviously didnt know what he was doing and try to hit it and fell and hit his ass on it and broke it in half. the trex still held together but it had a nice crack across it. Probably one more hit and it would snap in half. We didnt care, like I said its just a trainer for the kiddies who didnt wanna hit the simple flat bar we built.
BUT... the longer trex one you see above DOES have a 2x10 under it. You just cant tell by looking at the picture. I believe we used like 4 16ft 2x10's and then screwed the Trex down to it. Counter sunk the screws...worked nicely. That was SUPER solid..no flex at all. You'd have to be there to see what I mean. To bad it got flooded. We built the PVC one back the next weekend...worked just as good. _________________ www.DallasWakeboarding.com |

wake09, it shouldn't but in the long run it will. It's like plastic on fiberglass.
Hey Cheb75, how deep of water are you in and what's pulling you? You'd bite that pretty hard if you fell eh (looks shallow)? _________________
