This was a very easy project and only took several hours instead of weeks as on other projects. This install is in a 98 Malibu Sunsetter, and it does not have the lockers near the swim platform, so had to find the next closest place to the back.

I bought JUST the control valve (by HeaterCraft) and a Shurflo 2.8 GPM on demand water pump. The rest was just odd's and ends from the Auto Parts store and Lowes.

My "borrowed" an idea to hook the electric to the Anchor light and that works well. I used MDF board and mounted everything to it. Then carpeted it. In a hurry (for immediate use) it bolts to the existing thru bolts for the hand rail underneath.

Total COST --- Around $100 and it works great! Many happy boarders love that hot water down the wet-suit after a run and to warm up hands, feet and head.

My shower on my Centurion was obviously put in wrong. They have both the hot and cold coming from a hot water source. Do you have to have a pump for the cold or can I tap into my raw water pump?

DIY guy - thatc is soo cool!

Is it freshwater or do you suck it up out of the lake?

also how long does it take to get the hot water out? I'm guessing it must take a while to warm up Question

I'd love ot install oneof thes ein my boat but not sure where to put the tank!

There is no tank - the water is warm because it just finished cooling the engine.

You need to tap into the raw (cold) water as well as install a pump.

you do not need a separate pump for the cold...the shower pump does both hot and cold...you just need to tap the cold into the cold part of the temperature setting and the hot into the hot setting. then there is one hose that goes from there to the pump and from the pump to the shower head.

That way the correct water temperature is going to the pump, and you can adjust it using the control that is displayed in DiyGuy's photo.

Here's the over all of how it works made simple. There is only ONE pump required. It supplies plenty of water

FYI here are some pumps for a reasonable price.

Compared to the 100 bucks that the RV stores wanted.

I never said you needed more than 1 pump anyways. I was hoping he'd be able to figure out that you'd use 1 pump after the hot/cold come together.
