If I use 6.5" on my tower, would 2 be enough to hear behind the boat or would I need 4? They would be Kenwood 2-ways 130w peak, I'd probably be giving them about 40-50wrms. Thanks!

The more speakers the less harder you will have to run them. Two is good but four is better.

Phaeton is right. If you have four speakers you wont have to crank them as loud.If money wasnt an issue i would put 4.

I have two kicker 6.5 running off 100 watts rms a piece. They sound good. I would go with 4, running at that low of a wattage

Yeah, I think I'll go with 4...I'm going to build my own boxes for them, so that'll save me a lot of money. Thanks for all your help.

sorry about the double post, computer screwed up.

Orzech,
Looks like a great box. Will you be able to post pics when it's finished. I'm thinking about either making one big one like yours, or 2 smaller ones with 2 speakers each.

yeah... i will post pics when finsihed. First my daddy has to go pick up some free 3/4'' pressure treated plywood. (he is a carpenter) then i am gonna coat that w/ fiberglass. I should be starting it pretty soon. I will keep you updated.

I thought about making 2 individual boxes, but i like the look of one single box in the center.
