|
|
I am looking at getting a tower and it looks like many people recommend the monster tower. My question is that I want to put my wake boards on one side and and a kneeboard on the other. I know you can do it with other towers. I was wondering if the make racks to hold a kneeboard for the monster tower. Also is there a better tower for a few hundred more that you would recommend.
Thanks

I have a Monster on my boat and am very happy with it. Personally, I'd say the Monster would compare very favorably with towers costing several hundred dollars more. If you want to pop $2K+ for a tower, I think there are several manufacturers that could tailor make you a killer tower. But for around a grand, I don't think you can beat the Monster.
As for hanging a kneeboard from a MonsterTower, I don't think Monster currently sells a rack that would work, but you could always email them and ask what's in their new products pipeline. I'd bet you could find a rack from another vendor though that would handle a kneeboard and work on the MonsterTower. Maybe something like this..........http://www.wakeside.com/page/W/PROD/titan_wakeboard_racks/titan_wave_wake_surfboard_rack
Good luck.

Send an Email to this guy:
rod_r@sbcglobal.net
He made some awesome racks for Malibu Boat Owners. I have std racks on one side and the rack for another board and either a surfboard or kneeboard on the other.
Although it face plate is for Malibu, he might just send you the forks. If not, contact me - we might work something out.
Here's a photo of it.

From what I've read, MonsterTower can't be beat for the price.
Depending on your boat, you also may be able to get a Titan series I for a little bit more at wakeside.com.
For me, unless I had a boat with an OEM option, those would be my only two choices.

And, on top of that, you will be more than pleased with the Monster Tower. It's a really well built tower and the guys there will do anything they have to until you are happy with it. If your not, they give a 30 day money back guarantee - no questions asked.
It comes very nicely packed right to your door. Allow about 4 hours to install. Any issues at all, and they are only a phone call away.
Make sure to visit their site and go to Owners Photos sections and look at how folks have installed them on their boats. Mine is under Malibu, second set of photos.
Good Luck

Thanks everyone, I will order the monster tower tomorrow. I want to get the speakers also, do you recommend the ones that monster offers or would another set be better. I was considering the electrovoice speakers if you think its worth the extra money.
DIYGUY that rack is awesome, So when I email that guy what exactly should I ask for? and how much is that rack?

E-mail bill and ask him... bill@monstertower.com I think I've seen a picture with a sky ski on the tower, so you never know. If nothing else, he may have a suggestion for you. Drop him a line.

Thanks for the great comments, just got back from Steamboat and am trying to catch up on work and play. We do need to do a kneeboard/surfboard rack and it's on the to-do list. Hopefully we'll have it done later this summer but there are several options out there and many new accessories companies coming to market for this summer that will have some options. Also, Rod Rosare mentioned above does awesome work.
