|
|
| Was coming back up from S. Padre this past weekend and made a pitstop at one of the malls. Anyway we were in some shoe store (foot locker or something), I asked the guy if there were any board shops or wake boarding shops in the mall, and he just stared at me with the dumbest look. Then he asked what the hell that wakeboarding was. I asumed that everyone at least knew what wakeboarding was, at least down south. So my question is do many people wakeboard in San Antonio or was this guy just out of the loop. |

| There's some in San Antonio...but not a whole lot. San Antonio isn't exactly a hotbed for hip, happening 20-30 yr old folks. Anyone with a clue tries to get out of that town ASAP. My friends who have lived there in adulthood have only done so because they were transferred there by their company and they left as soon as their obligation was up. |

Medina lake usually has a few boarders out on it. Also, the cable park is in New Braunsfels which is only up I-35 a few miles.
Like JT said, San Antonio doesn't have the wakeboarder demographics that an Austin, Houston, or Dallas does.

ya'll have wakeboarding shops in the mall, thats sick. Closest i've been to having a wakeboarding shop in the mall is i went to a mall in houston that had a sporting good store that had wakeboards, I wish I had a actual board shop within 30 minutes of me _________________ ow thats gonna hurt tomorrow

I know some of the guys that graduated from Regan a few years ago board. Cory Fleitz, Cameron Krogg, Mike Cook, Luke Meador, Justin taylor, and a few others. Then in NB there is Matt Spalton, Chris Rameriz and a few others there. The amount of people grows the farther north on 35 you go. _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4. | Go to Sail & Ski? Sun & Ski? something like that. It is the Nautique dealer in San Antonio. I think they are off i-10, but I could be waaay off. They were a pretty good board shop. It is the same Nautique dealer that is in Austin, if that helps with the name. |
