Do you treat your board well? Do you care who rides it? I personally dont mind my mates riding my board but when other people do I get a bit pissed.
Lately I have no idea why but I've been getting so pissed off at my skateboard and throw it against the concrete. I have no idea why, but I just do knowing full well that this isn't going ot get me going anywhere.
But my question is. Do you abuse your board?

Yeah, I've broken & delaminated many a board in a blind rage. You know those days where you can't even seem to land an ollie? Those days are hazardous to my board, I'll throw it against the ground or if it's old I'll focus it.

vip20882000, I think I've hurt myself more than my boards. Laughing Sometimes I'll bail and run after the board as it rolls along and kick it as hard as I can. Rolling Eyes Dumb idea... but yeah, if I don't land stuff I get frustrated big time.

If I spend $90 on it - not unless it's past it's prime. If I get it for free, I'll break it in a week... BS tails on my rail at home not working, stomp time baby...

Oh good I am not the only one that abuses there board. ANd if its old it gets smashed alot more then if its new.
ontrider, I know what you mean. I've only just escaped some damage to my head by bashing down on the kick of my board.

Another question, how many of you let other people use there board? I let my mates ride it but I dont like other people using it.

Yeah, I don't care who uses it. How much more damage can they do than I can?

One time I was just gonna kickflip up a curb, but right before I was gonna do it I hit a rock. Wasn't going very fast, so the board shot backward and my cheek smashed right into the edge of the curb... that was fun!

ontrider - thankfully I'm tall enough to avoid that now. When I was learning hard flips I had a few wood enemas... those were fun too!

Rockitboy516 - that just means you're not skating hard enough!

my friend was just doing a normal kickflip and for some reason it snapped up and hit him in the lip, his board cut through the first half of his lip, and his teeth finished the job, i think something like 9 or 12 stiches in his lip. his lip was cut all the way though though... Puppy Eyes

you don't have to ollie off of 8 ft quarter pipes to snap a deck past it's prime. I've snapped the tail off of a deck the was 3 weeks old, just ollieng over a shopping cart on it's side. it's all physics. A board that was not built well cannot take the pressures of landing wrong Very Happy

i have stomped two decks in the past but i try not to do that anymore because i get more angry when i find myself at the local skate shop shellin 60 bucks for a new deck. so now i have resorted to throwing. and i agree it def doesn't take an 8 ft drop, i broke one of my boards off a little 3 set just by landin with my foot in the middle of the board

I personally never throw my board it think it is stupid their is no point to it, and if you break it its not like you have a van full of boards like the pros have.

I hate it when I'm skating a park and some kid is tossing his deck around cause he can't pull trick. It usually sets a bad vibe at the skate spot, and you'll probably be laughed out of most the places I skate.

I dont get mad unless I do a trick clean a few times then we pull out the vid cam and I cant seem to land it thats when I just go off. I've seen Danny throw his board in like 3 dumpsters in one day. Good thing they weren't full of Garbage muck!

dubers, i only throw on very rare ocassions and i never start flinging my board around in crowded spots like the skate park. if i threw my deck at the skate park here i say i have a 90 percent chance of seriously injuring someone, so i refrain and usually just drive away so that i can remain free of any manslaughter charges and skate another day.

I normally try not to but like a few of you said..after awhile if i get frusterated i might throw is or kick it or something like that... and like superx75, had said...he wont fling it at a skate park so no1 gets hurt, the one time my friend got super pissed and flung his board and hit this 5th grader who sliding a rail and it knocked his board to the side and the kid fell off and broke his ankel....not cool!!

once i hit a rock going about walking speed before kickflipping up a curb (as mentioned earlier) and i was just pissed, so i got up, threw my board against a tree, and it flung right off that tree and wacked my shin. 23 stitches. Rolling Eyes

moral of the story-throw at things that absorb the impact of the board, aka humans, and not trees.
