If they have the finger fasteners get them as tight as you can with your fingers only. If you have the allen head or any other kind snug them tight but not too tight or you will break loose the thread insert.

if you're worried about the screws backing out, put a drop of loctite on them... only a DROP. then snug them up...

My fins are attached with a Phillips head screw that goes through a washer, then the board, and into the fin. It is just a hole in the board, not threaded. I was just wondering if Ishould get them as tight as I can get them, or just reasonably tight. Like should I stop when it gets harder to turn?
Thanks!
JOHN

pimp559 - he was asking about fin screws not binding screws.

John - I have a TFD Bio, and I just tighten the screws up until they get snug. I'm not sure if cranking them down actually results in damage to the board, but there's no reason to find out. They shouldn't come loose while you're riding as long as you make sure they're snug each time you ride.

Thanks so much for the reply! Ya, I did what you said and got them snug and reasonably tight. I don't imagine them coming undone as long as I check them before I ride.
Thanks,
JOHN
