How much weight can a typical tower pull. Can it pull a 400 pound person out of the water to wakeboard? Just curious.

On our old I/O we had a pylon and it would only pull people under 175 pounds up. Thanks

i think it depends on the tower make and the boat. I know proflight towers shake alot and am not to sure how they could handle it. I Have the flight control on an air nautique and its rock solid.

I've pulled multiple tubers from my tower...and it did great (on a Supra LTS). As long as it's supported well you shouldn[t have a problem...

MX21

Got a good laugh - I too tried it once years ago and I think a good bit of lake water made me gain 20 pounds instantly!

Jblza32, i must agree with you that proflight towers do shake a lot, i remember taking our boat out with the new tower box and i thought the tower was going to collapse, does anyone know if there's a way to support the tower without getting a new one?
