Same color scheme for 04 as 03. That's an 03 with 04 graphics. It's a smokin looking boat in person! The dealer where that boat came from has one just like it only it's blue instead of black and it also looks pretty killer! Who you buying from?

WakeboarderDJ, have you tried Switch Stance - Pro Marine in Gibsonville, NC? I just ordered an '04 WS 21 XTI with them and got a pretty good deal. Also, check out the endofropegang.com forum since you are in NC.

jnking, Thanks, I am going to see them at the boat show here in Raleigh in a couple of weeks. I am also looking at the Master Craft X2 now. I talked with the people in Raleigh and the guy there told me that he would beat any deal that I got from Malibu, just to get my business. They have a clean shop and the service there is Awesome, due to a friend of mine that has a MC and they come to his place each year and pick up his boat and take it back to the shop and winterize it and then bring it back. He does have the option of shrink wrap, but he has a shelter. Soooo my delima now is between the 2 boats. I like the Malibu better, however, when we are talking money... Deals talk, and Bull$h!+ walks! I just found ENDOFROPEGANG.COM... Would love to hook up with them sometime and hit the lake!

I never get the we'll beat any deal. It is easy to beat someone's deal when it is out there to see, it takes a real man to throw down his lowest offer right of the bat. You could probably get the Malibu dealer to match any of the MC dealers deals as well.

NHeckerson, I hear you on the deal theory, but since both of them will be int he same building for the weekend, I will just haggle them down and down since they will be parked next to each other in the Arena. That way no driving all over the place and I can get what I want. I am going to tell them both that I am buying a boat that day so they better cut me a great deal. Plus the fact that I am paying cash for the boat should help out a lot also with out the financing crap they have to go through. but one thing for sure that I am going to do is have the dealer, who ever I buy from, put everything down that we discuss in writing and signed it by both of us so there is no backing out or any hearsay crap like I have heard from some of the threads posted here. A signed contract is worth more to me than a verbal saying and a handshake. Like the old saying when I was in the Army, In God we trust, all others sign contract!

Actually, in my experience, boat dealers would rather you finance than pay cash, at least the ones I've talked to in this area. Good to have them next to each other though, that could make for an interesting day! Wink

Cash or Finance, to a dealer it really doesn't matter. He gets a check for the boat the same day reguardless of which one you do. It's not like he is lending you the money. I don't see all this "I want a better deal cause I'm paying cash". Everyone that pays cash always says that but it is just as easy to get a bank check from a loan as it is cash.

In the car industry they want you to finance, the bank throws the dealer a percent of the interest for using them. The number flutuates depending on the relationship with the lender. My guess is that the boating world is probably doing that as well. If they are, they would rather you finance to get a few extra bucks...

Same in the boat industry with the dealers I have seen, they get a % of finance.

Phew! The graphics were a MINOR reason but a reason nonetheless to go for an LSV. We wanted the VLX with the LSV graphics but the dealer said the hull of the boat isn't big enough to fit the "bubble" on.
