do you think wakeskating is going to over take wakeboarding like wakeboarding took over skiing

I think it will get really big on creeks and cannels and with people that don't have big wakeboats.... I know before we had a boat I had a blast wakeskating behind our seadoos....

I think it will branch off from wakeboarding and become more of its own thing.... But it'll never be as big as wakeboardin or overtake it IMO

you'd have a different answer on wakeskating .com because more than half of the users on that site don't even have a drivers license

actualy that topic came up and everyone said that it wont get bigger then wakeboarding

it could get big if cable parks keep popping up all over the place. Since kids will only need a skate and a cable park pass not a expensive boat.

A lot of kids on there (wakeskating.com) may be young, but if you look at the general discussion board on wakeboarder.com, there are a lot of adults that have the same (if not worse) childish mentality. And I totally get what you're saying, but at least on wakeskating.com you don't have 50 "adults" trying to get in their "funny" one-liner when some young-un makes an inexperienced post. That's something I can expect from wakeboader.com about every other week...and it's usually the same culprits...

And how does wakeboarders having no respect for wakeskaters affect wakeskating becoming bigger than wakeboarding? Sounds to me like someone is jealous/just wanted to complain

I dont know any wakeboarders who dont respect wakeskaters either. IMO wakeskateing won't get as big as wakeboarding, although they will be close together. I think a lot of wakeskating will be from wakeboarders who want to give it a try and mess around with it. Do like 2 sets wakeboarding 1 set skating.

There is still i giant future in wakeskating, i mean look at the tricks in wakeskating compared to wakeboarding. i think that the bigger the tricks become and the more technical wakeskating becomes, the bigger and more popular it will get. Wakeboarding has had a while to develop while wakeskating is still really new. Give it time and it might possibly become bigger.

after being at OWC last week i realized there are more good wakeskaters than i thought. i think it will branch off a little too, but i don't see it taking over wakeboarding.
