Ive seen a few towboats with perpendicular board racks (about 70 degrees when towing). The Vandall does it and Im sure a few other pros do too- anyone know if it is for wind resistance or any specific reason besides just being 'different'? We were wondering if it would act as a spoiler of some sort and keep the nose pinned a little more down bc of the wind resistance. Its probably not even a noticeable difference, but still I was curious if it was done for a reason.
The wind resistance is so small at ~22 mph it is not even a factor. If it was I would not want to use my $400 wakeboard as an air foil. The only thing I could think of is easier access to the boards. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em...
