I did mine a couple of weeks ago, I used a hand pump to suck the ATF out of the dip stick hole. Took about 10 mins.

The hand pump I used was like this:

For the Vdrive oil I used a 1.5 pint softdrink bottle with a hole cut in the side. Drop the lower hose off the v drive unit and let it drain into the bottle. Easy, clean, and pretty quick.

I've used a pump like Ralph. They work great, they allow you to get to the bottom. Could you get all of it out with the turkey baster?

| my dad bought a pump at Grainger for about $100 it pumped the oil out of my X in about 3 minutes. When you look at what dealers charge for an oil or tranmission fluid change it's ell worth the money. It has aligator clips to hook to the battery.

The thingey above the turkey baster is a Dipstick. Obvious to me anyway!
Yeah, I was able to get all the xmission fluid out, once I flipped the boat over! I figure sort of like car tanny's.. 1/3 or more is caught in torque converter.
If I get 85% that's close enough.
