I want to build a gap slider like Pointless has in front of Danny's house. Its the one Parks and Danny hit in Boombox. How long do you think the sliders need to be individually and then I was thinking 5 ft for the gap? _________________ Everything in Between is what matters the most...

| be sure to build it in two steps. first build one side (the up ramp if going to a flat bar or one of the up ramps if doing an a frame type without the middle area) and do the jump a couple of times at the speed you like. once you get comfortable hitting the up ramp, have someone from the shore watch to see about how big the gap should be. the last thing you want before you hit it is for the gap to be to big or too small. takes lots of work and it would suck to have to redo it. |

Just be careful so that you do not wreck yourself on it like Harf did. He may have walked away from it, but that does not mean that you will.
If I were you I would build my slider with that in mind....Try to make it as accident proof as you can...Make it so that maximum fun and challenge is there, but make it as safe as you can. _________________ If you do not like your job, you don't strike....You just go in there everyday and do it really half a$$ed.....Now that's the American way - Homer Simpson. |

I'm not putting that huge gap in the slider. In the rest of the movie it is reasonably close together. Im not doin the massive gap where Harf got hurt. Francois told them the pitc h wouldn't shoot them that far and Im no pro for sure. _________________ Everything in Between is what matters the most...

| ya, just be careful, like someone said before build the kicker part, go off of it, measure how much distance and height your getting, and then put the other part wear you know you will definitly be albe to land on it everytime |

what i was thinkin is at first make a board in between the gap so that if you don't make it, you don't go flyin inot the other side, then you could take it out if you wanted _________________ ow thats gonna hurt tomorrow

Good idea wakerider but I know I can make it. We just built an A-frame thats 16 ft up...12ft flat... and 16 ft down. I cna clear the middle super easy or push a little to clear the flat and downside of it. When you think of it, just make sure the pitch will shoot you that far. _________________ Everything in Between is what matters the most...

yo i made a A frame with a 4ft gap. the 2 sections were 12 ft black abs pipe and it was an adjustable rail so i could change the angle and heigh of it according to the water level, i hit it and the end of the season and had the top point about 4 ft above the water and it was sick |
