my friends showed me this cd...and to me mars volta is a modern day led zepplin, with some cocaine. They are awesome, check em out and tell me what y'all think.

Yeh i heard about them...i was reading their history a sec ago. Does your friend know that guy that shot up rat poison and killed himself. One of there albums is dedicated to him...that crazy that your friend knows them though.

At The Drive In is a kick A$s band. i havent heard Mars Volta yet, i think i migt DL some of thier songs. any suggestions?

NorCalStud686, here is your suggestion: do it...just download as much as you can. i personally like enertiatic esp.
unfortunately i STILL cant find their studio released album anywhere...but i have acquired two live recordings which do kick ass.

At the Drive-In is FAR superior to Mars Volta or Sparta (another ex-ATDI band). Don't waste your time hunting down Mars Volta junk, just go buy In Casino Out.

i'd say they are more of a modern day pink floyd. the cd is definitly worth checking out.

Mars Volta, At The Drive-In, Sparta are all excellent in my opinion.
I've seen De-loused in the Comatorium, their cd, at Target, Best Buy, and even Walmart. I don't think it should be too difficult to find. I also found their Tremulant EP, for like $7 at Best Buy, which was another great cd. |
