havn't tried it with weight yet (other than the ballast). We're thinking about putting 1000 pounds in it with lead weights

Go with the Avalanch just because its a v-drive if you want the best wake.

Tige for sure... You can always weight it so it sits in the water like a V-drive would - plus the Taps will give you a lot of customizability (like my new word?) of the wake.

Even though I'm not personally a Tige fan, I'd have to say go for the Tige...

Heard much better things about them than the Centurion's, and when I saw them at the boat show, they were nicer to sit in.

Avalanch or Tige either one will make you look cool and thats what's important. I'm gonna get a Malibu VLX cause that will make me look very cool. When I hang my Hyperlite on the Tower some heads are gonna turn. Cool Cool Cool

Seriously though.... Tige and Centurion are both good handling wakeboard boats, I don't think you would be disappopinted with either one. Stay away from the I/O's if you can. Good Luck....

I used to work on cobalts. they are the cadillacs of i/o's but for wakeboarding i dont think they would be that great of a choice. Their great boats but just like any other i/o, they just dont compete with board boats when it comes to wakeboarding.

liquidforce519, I think EVERYONE who has posted here has missed a MAJOR point: What is this boat going to be used for primarily and where?

I wouldn't buy a wakeboard-specific boat if I was gonna use it primarily on a usually choppy lake - or if it's primary use was so the family could go find a beach and hang out.

and on the other hand:

I wouldn't buy a runabout if I was gonna use it primarily for watersports on a usually mild lake.

IMO:

Either I/O will be great. Sea-Ray's have excellent build quality and as nmballa said Cobalt is the Caddy of I/O boats.

For the V-Drives I would lean toward the Tige. Centurion is good too but my pref would be Tige.

liquidforce519, delta only = v-drive

Assuming your delta is similar to the California Delta....

IMO, the Cobalt is the best built of those boats. However, considering how you're using it I'd go with an inboard not an io. I'd take derrick lenz's advise and check out Supra before you buy. I don't know a whole lot about Tige or Centurion so I can't say much about the boat quality, but I've never liked their wakes as much as the Supras I've ridden behind. Then again, that's just my opinion. I think the best thing to do is go for a test drive/ride.

snoop_dizzal, I'm guessing you fail most of the multiple choice tests you take. Neutral

I would look at the Avalance or Tige if you are looking for a Wakeboard boat.

The 220 is by far the best boat there, although it is not a great boat for wakeboarding being an i/o. If you are looking at that boat which is gogin to cost a good amount why not look at malibu, nautique, mastercraft, because they are the same price range...A 220 cobalt will most likely be in the 40+ range price wise, especially since i heard from my dealer that the company is sold out for the 04 modle year so you are stuck with dealer stock or waititng till July for an 05...
