| We've been looking into upgrading the ballast system in our boats to something that was a little bit more hidden and user friendly (those of you who have ridden in a fully weighted SN2001 know what I'm talking about) and the final step was to upholster it so people could sit on the ballast box for putting around or just hanging out. I don't know anything about canvas and I haven't made a pillow since home-ec class 10+ years ago so I'm basically looking for any useful advise anyone might have. I'm not looking to go overboard here, just basically a rectangular pad about 4 inches thick or so with some kind of hard backing so it can be attached to something else. I'm open to any suggestions at this point as the project is just starting to take shape in the planning phases... |

You can't go wrong with Sunbrella for cushions which is a fabric, if you want a vinyl there are many options so more details are needed. Check out http://outdoorfabrics.com or your local canvas shop and you should be able to find something that fits the bill _________________ Founder of Monster Tower Wakeboard Towers

| Thanks, Monster. I was actually looking more for tips on construction rather than material (mostly cuz I hadn't gotten that far yet but that is good to know for later). Sorry I didn't clarify. I'm hoping to make this pad myself or for someone to tell me that I'm dreaming and to just have it made |
