I got these pictures in an E-mail claiming this was gold hidden by Saddam in a fuel tanker truck. Looks like it could be worth something.

I'm not sure the rate of gold these days but depending on the amount of gold in each brick, he could probably buy well more than just a boat. Besides, they don't know how much is there. It wouldn't be too hard to sneak a few of those babies into your bag. Kind of a pay off for risking your life and putting up with being there...and being at the right place at the right time.

Yea, that's a good way to get Court Martialed. Security for that kind of thing must be pretty high. Where did the picture come from? I'm kind of a little skeptical. I don't doubt that Saddam had stuff like that, I'm just skeptical of a picture that shows up on a message board if I haven't seen it in the legitimate news, know what I mean?

If it only 25 million it probably isnt news worthy. Ive heard on the news for the last year how they are constantly finding huge amounts of dollars stockpiled around iraq. Why not gold? Im gonna guess that this is legite and the reason it wasnt on the news is cause it just wasnt that great an amount of mony. When your talking about a country 25 to 100 million just aint that big.

Let's say each brick weighs 10lbs. 16 oz = 1 pound and gold is conservatively $400 an ounce so each brick would roughly be worth $6400...

So I say 10 or so should get you that F350 and Bu' if you are a pretty good negotiator... (I didn't say it all had to be new Wink

If they wigh 40 lbs. and you estimate that it is worth $400 per ounce, that = $256,000

didn't a couple soldiers get caught trying to take money a while back, when they first started finding this kind of stuff. I remember there was a little house they found with like $500 million USD sitting in suitcases.
