Anyone know of somebody to fix amps? Is it cost effective?

DIY.... One thought that came to mind was to call the manufacturer of the amp in question and see if they can direct you to an authorized repair location. Luckily, for me anyway, my local car stereo shop has a pretty good diagnostic guy that may not be able to fix what's broke, but he can usually tell what's wrong with it and whether it would be worth fixin. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Free estimates and 120 warranty, very very cost effective.
He has fixed two (Alpine) head units and an amp (JL 500.1, which is for sale on e-bay) very very cheap. The best part is the free estimates, it is only going to cost you shipping to send it to him, likely less than $10. Most places want $50 just to look at it. He is very trustworthy. |
