Water Pump Froze?

Took the boat out first time this season. All was running well untill I shut the motor down and when I went to restart it the sea water pump locked up? Anyone know why this happend? The motor is a merc. 350 mag. Will the warranty cover this?

Depends what caused it. Did you overheat the engine at all? The pump on the merc is really tricky to drain and winterize. They are very tempermental (sp?). Best bet is to take it to the dealer and see what they say.

yeah, I plan on taking it in to the dealer tomorrow morning and see what they say. Seem funny it ran fine and froze up that?

Could be wrong but I think there is a bearing in there and it could have seezed up. Could be way off with that comment though. Good luck with it.
