Well the Spring tune-up and oil change are done. Motor's purring like a cat. Two projects left on my to do list:
1. Install float switch on bilge pump
2. Replace flame arrestor with K&N
Anyone have experience with either of these? It looks like the K&N is taller than my stock arrestor by a couple of inches. Other than engine hatch clearance is there anything else I should be aware of?

My current pump is just a simple on/off. I wouldn't mind replacing it, but I don't want to have to run any new wires back to the switch. Did y'all run have to run new wires or were you able to use the existing ones?
we used the existing ones..... it was funny when we pluged it n it blew a fuse and it took use like an hour to figure out why it wasent working... til we looked at the fuses
my bilge died last summer. It still tried to pump when the float switch turned it on, but it wouldn't let anything come out. I figured this one out when the battery was totally dead after a week sitting inthe boat house. It had been trying to pump that water out...I'm glad the pump was in the water so it didn't start a fire. _________________ This has been a DizzyG Message
