That's a pretty general question is everyone has different opinions. In my opinion you are intermediate once you can consistantly perform the simplest inverts such as backrolls and tantrums and when you can do the basic spins (180's and 360's). If you can do that then in my opinion you are intermediate.

HyperRash, when you are sponsored.

remember a professional is just an amateur that gets paid to do the same thing.

IMO, the only objective way to determine if you novice, beginner, advanced, etc. is to go by the INT amateur wakeboard league competition divisions. Read the rules, and then determine what division you would be in if you competed. IMO

I'd say the same thing as Partyb. I believe, if I remember right, you're intermediate according to INT if you can do an invert.

I don't see any inverts in that mix Confused

I would say you are an intermediate boarder if you are 100% comfortable on the board and can do some moderate tricks.

Yes, an invert is allowed in intermediate if it's your first and you're not too consistant yet with it:

www.intleague.com wrote:
Intermediate: Including Junior, Women’s, Men’s, and Masters: The Intermediate divisions are designed for mid-level riders with primarily 2 wake jump grabs, 180’s, half-cab’s, and basic 2 wake tricks. Intermediate riders may also be working on their first basic invert or 360 spin. Intermediate riders can do any tricks on the 2003 INT Intermediate and Novice Trick Lists. All tricks listed on the Intermediate Trick List are listed as 2 wake tricks, unless otherwise specified. Intermediate tricks must be landed with leading foot across the crest of the second wake to receive full point credit for the trick. Any Intermediate tricks landed one wake, or with leading foot NOT over the crest of the second wake, will be scored at 1/2 the listed point value. Riders can repeat tricks, but not in the same pass. Intermediate riders get only one (1) invert or two (2) 360’s total, and will receive 625 points for each. This is, one invert and two 360’s total, not one invert and two 360’s per pass! If the invert and/or 360’s are completed, the rider will be awarded 625 points for the invert and/or each 360. The completed invert or 360 will not be scored more than 625 points. The Intermediate class is not designed for riders with a solid invert and multiple 360 variations. If the judges feel an Intermediate rider has a solid invert or multiple 360 variations, the rider will be bumped up to a higher division. Intermediate riders may receive up to 600 style points.
