The tower will help a little, but barely any.
Ollieing is simple. All you need to do is push down with your back foot. It's easiest to learn if you start by playing around. Just try pushing the back of the board down a little, and feel how it pops back up. Keep doing that over and over again, pushing a little harder each time, until you're actually getting air. Once you can do that, it's just a matter of being able to keep your balance while pushing down harder.
Once you can ollie comfortably, you can start working on the finer points that help add height, like keeping the line tight while pushing down. |

When you get your balance sorted, and you have good technique. Try pushing down with your back foot and pulling up with your front foot, as you get to the peak of your jump you should push down your front foot to level out the board. That helped me get higher then usual, I've gotten about 1 metre or so with out a tower using that technique. _________________

yea...that's what he's refering too. They're usually about 3.5 ft off the water, so he's right in saying around a meter. |

It also helps to do kind of a "preload" ollie. Take a small jump then when you land load your front foot and pop down your back foot. When you jump it helps seperate your board from the water and gives you a little more momentum. _________________ www.krookedminds.com

Sportster4Tec, basically kinda like building your bounce on a trampoline. _________________

Tru. thats how I do it to Sportster. Works really well...just like on a trampoline but kinda like bouncing one leg before the other (i guess is the best way to put it)? |
