Whats up? Things seem to be moving a little too slow in here...either that or its snowing out side of my window. So whats going on...? Everyone must be coming up with some goals for next season, even if we still have months ahead (except the lucky Fl. locals, but most of them still arn't going much because its "cold" ) What are our plans for the summer?
Im over the snow. Working everyday so I can go to Fl for one week and get out of the cold. 3 more weeks to go and its killing me. 3 of the PWT stops are coming close to me though so im planning to check them out this summer, hopefully one of them will have the girls. I am also going to check out Boardstock, and the Malibu Open. Im thinking about entering in the world wakesurfing championships for the fun of it. Im also going to do the INT thing, I didn't realize it but it really pushed my riding last year. If I don't come up with an invert or 360 in Fl this time in going to have to beat myself up. I definatly need to get over it and learn both this summer. I also am going to finally go to some of the "Girls learn to ride" stuff and meet some new people, learn some stuff, I cant wait!
So...Tell me whats up?! Let sget some fresh posts! Keep those of us in the cold from going totally insane! _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

| Hey JRock, how's it going? I'm going through major wakeboarding withdrawls too. Today I was sitting in school and I was just thinking about how much I miss summer. I need to get some money and go to FL, that sounds like too much fun. But my next purchase is going to be a Toyota Tacoma, only about a month until I have enough money to buy one, I'm so excited. So you are going to enter in the world wakesurfing championships, that sounds like fun, wakesurfing is a blast, I love it. I excited for the PWT too, those are awesome, I had so much fun last year. Anyways have fun in FL!!! |

HeyJRock*Girl,
Can't say things are exactly hoppin' in ole Naptown right now...freezing rain and 3 or 4 inches of snow, maybe the kids and I'll snowboard this weekend....my daughter and I have been playing Wakeboard Unleashed - the boat scores more points... ... got a cool new ice scraper the other day...can you say CABIN FEVER.

Grace B., thats awosme! Im in LOVE with that truck! What color are you going to get? I wish I could afford one of those....but i've become addicted to Fl, I can't get enough of it . Im stoked though, I am going to be done with school in Jan next year, because I am getting all of the credits out of the way. Im thinking about moving to FL, gaining my residency, and working a ton so I can ride year round. Than go home for a few days for graduation and off to school hopefully in Fl. It would probably be cheaper for me to live there than to fly down every 4 months lol. _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

JRock- I'm in love with Tacomas too, I think I'm getting a black one or maybe red. Pretty much any color is okay with me! That would be sweet to live in FL. I graduate in June and would like to go to college in FL, but the parents said no way, said I wouldn't get much done because I would just wakeboard all the time But it looks like I'm probably going to school in Arizona, at least its somewhere warm. That's cool you will get done with school in Jan. next year, you must be stoked for that. Yeah only 4 more months till graduation, I'm so tired of high school... |

Hi gals!
Grace - You go girl. Knowing what you want and getting it. That is great!!
JRock - Enter all the contests around you and send us photos. It would be very cool if you were to come to school in Florida. I attend UCF right now. They have a wakeboarding club, but it is hard as heck to get ahold of them. I'm still trying. I think I may call the student government and see if they are still around.
I am in FL but I'm not wakeboarding. Full time school/full time work/kids makes me very tired. I'm not running, yoga, or anything. I have the money for my ski boat and my bass boat registrations but I can't make it to the darn place cause I leave so early and get home so late.
Now that being said, I'm happy with my decision. I'll have my Bachelors in December. I have an absolutely awesome hubby who is totally supportive and three kids who are all pitching in to help when I am at school. My boys, who wakeboard with me, said they will go once it warms up again. As soon as I get my boat registered, I'll be able to go out in the early mornings before they wake up. Life is great .
Oh, and one of the girls on one of my project groups at schools is a wakeboarding. Which is so cool!! I'm hoping to bring the boat to orlando so she and I can go out a few times ). Never been wakeboarding with another chick before.

Hey Lisa - if you ever make it up to Orlando I will meet up with you & your classmate (if you don't mind). Are you going to the girls learn to ride event in May? If so, I will see you there! _________________ Remote Viewing Instruction and Workshops - http://www.trinityscience.com |

I wrecked my car the other day....just to add to the fun haha. Its still drivable. I HATE the snow. This lady in a lifted suburban was turning and started sliding and just stopped. I was behind her and of course I started sliding and there was nothing I could do. Oh well....just $500 more bucks to deal w/. stuff happens. I wish I could trade it in for a tacome, my car is a p.o.s. I wuld love a white or black one.
I've been looking at FSU,I should look into UFC too.....I am just looking to do my basic 2 yrs in Fl than transfer to a school with my major (whatever it may be). Grace, your soo lucky to be graduating this year.
I will be in the INT events, I have one funny photo in my profile lol. Has anyone enetered in the Vans Triple Crown for amatuer women? Im curious as to what they are throwing down.... Im planning to hit up every event near me, either watch or compete though...and hopefully the girls learn to ride clinics. _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

Jrock, if you're looking at doing a 2 year program before you transfer to a school with your major, you may want to look at valencia community college. I know that lauren harf went there last year (and I personally know a couple of people that have gone there). That way, you can earn your associates degree and I believe florida has a program that if you earn your assoc. degree, you can transfer to any 4 year institution in the state university system (although some uni's may be more competitive to transfer to, so watch your grades). Plus, a community college may be a bit easier on the wallet. Also, just because you move to florida doesn't mean you'll make it to a university that will have a lot of riders or a lot of places to ride (which is why UCF or vallencia would be good--at least you'll be in orlando). I remember reading a brian grubb interview and he used to attend florida state but then he transfered back to orlando because he wanted to ride more.
One other piece of advice I received when I was considering an education in florida is that you need a car. But maybe there's a way to work that out, that's just what they told me. Good luck! _________________ J.L.A. Is Snowboarding

| Hey there - I'm doing INT this year, too. Our coordinator in IL is different this year so I hope that they plan a good schedule. JRock - what division did you compete in last year and were those pictures from the National INT? I competed in Novice in Illinois so now this next year I will be in Intermediate. Like you my goals this year are an invert (or two) and a spin (or two). Chicago weather makes it pretty limited. |

bigwake4, that's awsome, and what I figured, I have quite a ways to go.
electricsnow, Sweet, thanks for the advice. I think UCF may turn into my first choice. I am getting to know quite a few people that live in Orlando, and if im going to FL motly to wakboard I may a wll b in Orlando. I will be graduating with an advancd diploma, right now im in phyic and trig/pre-calc as a jr. so I am definatly going to try to gt into a university.
Lizrd, I competed in women's intermdiate last year. The pictures are from Nationals. Did you go? Are there any other girl competing in Illinois? _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

| Nah, I didn't go to Nationals - I was competing in Novice so it wasn't worth the cash to travel that far just to do wake 2 wakes, ya know? I had some decent competition at the Novice level in the State of IL - there were about four of us which isn't too bad I guess. This year I have told myself that if I win Intermediate I am going to Nationals. Are you able to compete at Intermediate again this season or do you have to bump to Advanced? KIT and if we both qualify we can get together at Nationals - fun! |

Lizrd, did any of the girls from your state go to nationals? The only division they have for girls is intermediate and novice. I have quite a bit of work to do before jumping in with the guys in advanced. I am basically gaurenteed a spot at Nationals being the only girl in Nevada. Th only time I compete againt girls is at the nor cal opener and nationals. I am hoping for 1st, or 2nd at Nationals. Last year I got 3rd. That would be awsome if you went too! I met alot of cool girls there. I wouldn't have gone though if it wasn't so close. _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

| No, no girls from IL went. I was top in Novice and let everyone know that I wasn't going so that they could have a chance but they didn't end up competing at Nationals. We only had one girl in Intermediate last year and she only went to one contest so I guess that spot is open for me now. I'm definitely going to be at the Intermediate level this season. Since I have no one to compete against my plan is just for fun to see how I would stack up against the men's intermediate- you know, compare their scores with mine. |

JRock*Girl, I don't know if I will make it or no. It sort of depends on my daughters school schedule (she's graduating this year) and my college schedule. We'll see though. Do you want to drive over in March when I hook up with a couple of others from the board? I may camp over somewhere so I don't have to drive home the next day.

leslisa, I have $4.73 left in my bank account, I can't afford to go anywhere but work haha. Wish I could make it though.
Lizrd, there are only like 5 wakeborders total in our INT events, its lame. But hopfully I will see you at Nationals. I am missing the only other event I actually get to compete against other girls at too, the Nor-Cal opener, because im going to check out the PWT instead....too bad they are the same weekend.
No backroll or 360, but I tried a few inverts off a triple whip. It was awsome. Being home sucks. Shaun and Travis rock. I still have alot of fixing to do of bad habits. I was just stoked to hit the water though regardless. _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

kswiss, haha oops. I hate the keyboard at work the "e" button doesnt really work along with the "s" button and "shift". Perhaps I should proofread more carefully, (or just not go on wb.cm at work haha). _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

Grace B., Fl was awsome of course. It was pretty chilly though. Mostly just wind chill and stuff from the humidity. They had a ton of wetsuits though and were shoked when I didn't wear one hahah.

MissJade, Yes, this year just for fun. Hah. I think its kinda silly that they have a "Wakesurfing Mag", "World Wakesurfing Championships" and stuff though. Its not a sport like wakeboarding that had a lot of room for growth, but whatever . Im still going to enter and mess around lol. _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

JRock*Girl, hahahahaha . I remember you saying in the "have you met buts like scott" thread about princess destroying the Ladies lounge. Now I know what you mean, I just happen to accidently scroll down, but I noticed that all the last posts in all the threads were princess's. Holy crap that is hilarious. Sad, but hilarious.
BTW, sorry for beating a dead horse. _________________
