Hey silver girl,
Maybe try shortening up your mainline so the distance is not as great, practice it there then increase length.

try wesgardner's suggestion and try cutting harder before you hit the wake

Make sure you're doing a progressive edge, and stand tall at the wake.

Read different threads in trick tips. Salmon tacos posted some good advice. I would look at the thread "How to Improve your Pop".

Just go for it, cut as hard as you can and who cares if you fall. Once you get it, its no problem after that.

no offense but that is about the worst advice you could give. you do not need some super hard cut at the wake in order to clear it |

yeah hes right just cut in hard but nothing too extreme, you dont want to be uncomfortable, pop real hard when your at the lip, and also make sure you flatten out the board right before you hit the wake, if your carving into the wake your board will cut through it and you wont go nearly as high _________________ sponsors-

Go with a progressive edge, move outside the wake and just let the boat begin to pull you back in towards the wake and let the wake pop you up and over....you'll just get frustrated if you continue to try and cut as hard as possibly cuz you'll probly either not make it, or break right through the wake and clear it with like 2 feet of air....and thats no good

If your trying to clear the wake, shorten the rope some and go out of the wake farther and then use a strong progressive edge toward the wake, and with time and practice you will clear it with ease

this newbie forum would probably be nearly non-existant if we had a sticky that mentioned where the search button is, cough cough....
but anyhow, dont start shortening the mainline unless you are already 80 feet out...when you get on a 65 foot line and around there in that extremly short range, you start teaching yourself bad habits because your riding style has to change to adapt do the very small, skinny wake...when you move out in line, you will become overwhelmed, so i dont recomend doing that.... |

Flattening off before you hit the wake is one of the dumbest things you can do when trying to go w2w. Edge all the way through the top of the wake. When you get to the lip stand tall using your heels only. They way I learned was by someone telling me to push water towards the boat with my board. Good luck!

When I was learning to cross the wake, I didn't realise how much speed you need. You do have to cut pretty hard and fast, just not like you're going for raley 30ft into the flats.

All you have to do is get a good progressive cut and jump at the top of the wake, and in the air bring your knees to ur chest.

hyperlitemofo, u shouldn't jump at the top of the wake, u should stand tall. It's not really necessary to bring your knees to your chest either. _________________
