Ok so i ride on the sandusky river ( up here in ohio Sad

) and its a small place so there arnt very many people ( which is nice lol we get glassy water all the time) but the thing is out of all the people that are here and wakeboard im 16 and a girl and since they are all 18+ and male they dont think im good enough to ride with them tho i've proved i can outride quiet a few of them its so stupid!! Anyone else ever have this problem?!

wow, I can't believe those guys would treat you that way. I only know a few guys down here in florida that don't let girls ride with them (they somehow feel we "waste" the gas.. and instead should just sit there and look pretty..... right). Sounds like you've either got a lot of convincing to do, or new guys to find to ride with.

Whoa! Throws me off when I hear stories like this. Are these people your friends to begin with? I mean just to hear anyone say "oh you can't come you're a girl" whether it's about wakeboarding or anything....shouldn't that stop making sense once you turn like 8 years old? I think I'd biotch slap any of my guys if they were to say something like this to me. I'd say find a new crew...fast!

They are just having an ego problem. A lot of guys do when girls are better than them at something. They are just mad cuz u r better than them.

My wife and I plan on riding on the sandusky river this summer and we are always looking for other people to come along. It's usually just my friends which are guys. I am sure Amber(my wife) would love to have another girl on the boat. And we don't care if you are better than us or not, we just want to have fun.

I ride in Ohio a lot. I just moved from Cinci to Indy. Really miss it. I ride at Hidden Valley, Sandusky, and Laugherty. sp? Mad Props on the skill you have! I am one of two girls who ride in my crew. The guys I ride with are cool, always happy to see when anyone improves and goes big! You can ride with us anytime! Mr. Green

Wakeboarding is about having fun just being out there. Whether your doing 180s or Raileys, it shouldn't matter. Its about having a good time. I don't think your friends truely care about you. Selfish comes to mind, and thats really unfortunate. Sounds like they have lost sight of what's really important in life.
