After burning up my drums this fall I decided to replace them with disc. Here are the pics I took today. Fairly easy process, just a lot of grease. Sorry I didn't get any intermediate pics (grease + digital cam = bad news). The brakes are on now I just have to replace the master cylinder.

| Nor*Cal, those disk brakes are going to make a world of difference. How long did it take you to make the change over?

sweet.........................
i would bleed fresh fluid through the old lines and cylinders before i put on the new stuff. that will keep the rusty fluid out of your new calipers.
i did that conversion on an e-z loader. it works 2000 times better than drums.

Just bleed new fluid through the lines.
It only took an hour to get the drums off and the disc on. However, switching the master cylinders took another hour (had to do some torch work to get things out. I also had to change the wiring (4 wire adapter to a 5 because of the free backing solenoid. Total working time was about 3 hours plus or minus lunch and beers for my friend who came to help.

About $275 after tax... Drums would have been a little less in price because I melted pretty much the whole assembly.

Thanks for the info! I'll be doing the same job the next time she needs brakes. If you can add any lessons learned, it'd be greatly appreciated.
