first of all i'm really down because i don't have a boat to wakeboard. secondly, my parents don't think i should use all my money to get a wakeboard and then only use it up to two times a month. the only person i know who has a boat is my friend and she works, so i never know when she isn't working. third, if i don't wakeboard i don't know what extreme sport to do because of where i live. i can't snowboard or ski because we never go to Gore or West mtn. i don't mean to complain but i'm down because there's not a extreme sport i can do. any suggestions on other sports? just send something out there, at least Sad

you can get a good wakeskate for $100. Only a couple times a month? Maybe when you're an old man, like me, you can buy a $40,000 boat to use twice a month Neutral

i think he means his parents dont want him to buy a board and only get to go out with a friend twice a month. Not for his partents to buy a boat and use it twice a month.

get in the find a pull section..on a couple sites, there is got to be someone cool in your area...orrrr get more people in your area interested..and let them know whats up..

Yeah, try to get some more ppl in your area interested in the sport, who knows, you might meet some people who board whom you didnt even know did. Is there a local boardshop around that takes ppl out for pulls? Be something to check out....good luck buddy....id hate for you to miss out on wakeboarding just because you dont have a boat. If you are ever up in canada, drop me a line, ill take ya for a pull for sure.

mooch off other people. if they have a board and boat, most likely they'll share. you could even offer to chip in on gas money

try skateboarding. much harder than any other boardsport out there and there should be parks all over new york. if not then just skate in your driveway. plus it'll help out your balance for wakeboarding.

You shouldn't just drop wakeboarding because of what your parents say/think. Makes friends with someone that has a boat. Stand down at the beach with a sign that says, "Will pay for pull", you gottta do what you gotta do. Wink

Odds are you love the sport way to much to give it up that easy it your posting on here. But if you gonna give up that easy, buy a skateboard.....If your ever in Tahoe, hit me up and i will take you out

Hey RunningWithScissors, I live up in the same area as you, if your looking for a pull in the spring give me a yell. Most of the time my Boat is docked further up north, but I bring it down sometimes.

I would go with the, walking on the beach with a sigh that says WILL PAY FOR PULL. Especially this summer with gas prices expecting to go up, it always helps to have a paying boarder on the boat.
