You can Buy a wakeboard repair kit here: Buy Wakeboard Repair Kit
I am new to wakeboarding and have picked up an Obrien wakeboard with a small ding in the side. Is there a material (epoxy, etc..) that I can use to seal the area exposing the interior (fiberglass), or do you normally just leave this alone.
Any feedback would be appreciated.[/url] |

Definetly seal it. I have used the regular 2 part epoxy you find at home depot and places like that. Make sure you get the slow cure (90 min) as it is stronger than the fast cure, it wont fully cure for about 24 hours so dont get it wet till then.
Oh yeah to fix your board, mask the area around the ding w/ tape, apply the epoxy then you can cover the epoxy w/ saran wrap and tape it down so that it is relatively smooth, remove all the tape and saran wrap , sand a little bit and you are good to go. |

I had an obrien and there was a scratch in the bottom and eventually water got into the base and it split right in the middle.. so you should probably seal it.. obriens dont have very strong bases _________________ Hesitation leads to pain |

I believe it is called Welder's glue. Or , just try "Plastic Wood" sold at Home Depot or other hardware store. _________________ Pain is just Fear leaving the body |

if the crack is in the middle area of the board the epoxy will just break in two peices ans fall out
use "mono or sillycone" _________________ www.Crawlinbc.com |

I don't think mono will do anything but get saturated after a while, same with silicone. There is no strength behind either of them, I would definiatly stay with epoxy it will bond to the board _________________ I Love The Smell of Butta In The Morning |

Use Araldite, I had a knock on my board on the top edge and it was slowly spreading, i put the araldite on and cardboard either side then clipped it tight, it worked a treat, only thing is I would use plastic rather than cardboard as the cardboard sticks a bit. |

Wow, that's a lot of suggestions for different adhesives.
Just to add another. I've heard you can get a snowboard repair kit to do it. I don't know what they supply in there but that's what I've heard.
