Hey, what do y'all call your boats? I heard it's bad luck for a craft to go unnamed.
My wife, who is into all things Hawaiian, has named our boat (which hasn't even been ordered yet, btw) Hana Nalu, which means "make Waves" in Hawiian. I think that's pretty cool. I think Hana Nalu is going to be my new personal credo.

I hope you're prepared to tell people what it means about 50x/day.
Tempus Fugit would be my choice.

Moomba is a good name for the boat.
CB, now, I know you don't actually buy into that superstitious crap, so is it really your wife talking?

Swass, I'm prepared to tell people to F'off 50x/day. I should make lots of friends that way this summer.
I kind of buy into that superstitious crap. Mostly, though, seeing as how I'm spending all our money and taking on a monthly payment, I'll let my wife call it "The little pink pu$$y" if she wants, so long as she doesn't bitch at me for making us go broke.

Well, it's bad luck for a SHIP to remain unnamed. Not a boat.
"Armageddon Sic O Dis Toepick" is a good name.

chavez-y-chavez, "Liquid Lifestyle" is the name of my boat . I was going to name it "Liquid Soul" after the acid jazz band, but thought it would be to cheezy being the exact same.
It is also bad luck to rename a boat, unless you have it rechristened and blessed by a preist or something along those lines.

IMO, it is silly to name a small boat, including inboards. Also, why would you want to name your boat "make waves" when wakeboarders are typically looking for butter, or the abscence of waves?

CB, I was just giving you crap ( except about the bad luck part )
Name your boat. It's yours, do what you want with it! Don't go by what others want you to do with it. Especially if it keeps the peace in the household, or gets you brownie points with the Mrs. NEVER PASS BROWNIE POINTS UP!

Because the Wake is the wave that we all create so we can ride it, man.........
I only got into wakeboarding because it's the closest thing to riding waves in the ocean, which cruel circumstances and life have moved me away from. (I never learned to surf, but bodysurfed all summer long in my youth.)
(I guess that snowboarding would be more like riding waves, but I can't stand the cold. You all are a bunch of nuts, IMO, who go out in the snow to ride down a mountain. To each his own. I don't go outside except to go to work and shovel the driveway from December 'till April).

To each his own, and mine is called "barracuda", since it's a fast fish, and are fast cars, why the hell not.

My boat has a name, but w/ good reason.. My lake is part of the Trent waterway, which consists of a bunch of lakes connected w/ about 45 sets of locks.. A few of which I use on a regular basis..
If you have ever taken your boat through a set of locks, especially on a busy long week-end you know how much smoother it goes if your boat has a name.. Not "hey you" or "guy w/ the roll cage" b/c obvisouly it's roll cage.. :rolleyes
So before everyone starts the whole "naming you boat is gay, dumb, stupid, whack, ghetto, etc." thing.. maybe people have a reason beyond vanity..

I had an OLD Four Winns that I named
HALF-FAST
Was a testament to the constant problems with it, and trying to keep it running!

So instead he could say:
Hey Cashhole!
Hey Little Pink Pu$$y!
or
Hey Wake-Up!
or any other number of names out there.
No wonder some people want to tell people to F'off 50x/day
