I'm a new boat owner. I'm looking for places from San Diego to ride (not Mission Bay). My only requirement is that the place have a decent beach.
I know Lake San Vicente is close, but I've heard it has no beach and is very crowded. How about places along the Colorado River??
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you ridden in the Pacific Ocean? It's really choppy! You can ride in places like Mission Bay, but it's polluted by water run-off from the surrounding city.
