| I think I remember seeing an article about making your own tower speakers either on this site or on Wakeworld.com. I can't seem to find the article anymore. Do any of you know the link for it? Or if any of you have some advice of your own, that'd be cool...I'd probably be using 6x9's. Thanks! |

Hey Ray,
Yeah that would be great if you could send me the plans for the speakers. I'll be putting them on a Monkey Bar, so the mounts might have to be switched to the other direction. But those look great. Very professional looking. Thanks!!! |

Hi guys,
I read the article about making the 6x9 tower speakers. They look like a nice , cheap design. I was woundering what the enclosed space at the back was for. Also did you realise that the volume that the speaker sits in is very critical to the sound quality that the speaker will produce. If you buy good speakers, these measurements will come with the speakers. I am planning to make some tower speakers myself. I may choose to use a design similar in construction to yours. As I am an electrical engineer, and know a bit of speaker enclosure design, I will be making something that will be designed with the proper specificaions for the speakers I will use. I am looking at a speaker now 6x9 and 80Watts RMS and needs a 20 litre enclosure.
A rough estimate shows that the larger the volume that the speaker needs, the better bass it will produce.
Rich. _________________ www.usydwakeandski.com |

thats gonna be pretty big enclosure for the tower.
i hear you on having the right spec, but having it on the tower (open air) not gonna matter too much |
