I was at the Los Angeles boat show today and I was interested in purchasing the Wakesetter VLX. The deal they were offering was a VLX with a titan tower, wedge and a tandom trailor for $43,900. The bimini and perfect pass are extra. Is this a good deal?

You can do better. There is a thread on Malibuboatowners.com on the same subject.

For that money you should be getting Perfect pass, bimini and more.

Wakeboard Perfect Pass
Tandem Trailer w/ swing away tounge

I agree with Turk, I don't like the looks of the Titan over the Skylon. I wanted the Illusion tower but my other half thought it looked ugly (she fronts half of the soon to be bill).

forwaken, well the Illusion has it's negative aspect. I drove a boat a few weeks ago with it on it and the rope got entangled in the boards/racks every turn around. Also, had to have someone make sure it was not wrapped around them every pickup.

edswakeboarding1, I think the titan tower is like 15% stronger-that's a plus. But, the front mounts of the tower block a critical part of your sight. Plus, the lines of it do not flow well with the boat's styling.

Just my 2!

Go with the Billet from Boss. If you're buying it in CA, every Malibu dealer has them.

Turk, I had heard something about that with the rope, maybe from you in another thread. You wonder why they would go with it even if they knew this would be a problem. They had to see it coming with all ef the testing they do with their pro riders.
