When I use my bud's setup with the PRS1, the tongue won't stay down. It really pisses me off. The overlay ratchet strap is nice though.

I would assume the Scarecrow has the same problem.

Other than that they are really comfortable (until the tongue comes out Rolling Eyes ) and the footbed is super soft.

When you cinch the laces down, the tongue is centered in the middle (front) of your leg (in front of the shin). As you ride and move around in them, the tongue has a tendency to move to one side, and essentially get twisted (now at the side of your leg, instead of in front). Personally, it doesn't bother me - but it might be a nuisance to you.

In terms of which to go with, the footbed is really the main difference, so if you can find a good deal on the PRS1s go for it - if not, the scarecrow would be a good choice as well.

I had Scarecrows for a while, now I'm riding PRS-1's. The NICE bindings are very good bindings for the $$, in my opinion. You'll find them more flexible around the ankles than more pricey bindings from Hyperlite and LF, plus the footbed is a tad more firm that other bindings I've ridden. Either the 'crows or prs-1 will work fine for inverts and stuff. The PRS-1 is a little thicker around the ankle, has some heel "stiffener" pieces that can be removed and fancier graphics. Otherwise, they're pretty darn similar.

Good luck!

I agree with SuprAir, I Ride with 03 scarecrows and i was debating between the two and it all came down to money. That show similer they are i love my scarecrows they have pull string and a ratchet clamp.
