Hey everyone.

Anyone out there used the shower attachment on a tige boat? I have a 03 21i Riders edition. I want to put a shower attachment on it, but wondering if anyone has done this yet. Thanks for the info.

The people I ride with own a Tige 22i (not sure what year) and it has the shower attachment. Whenever we would board in wetsuit weather they would use it to heat the wetsuit back up. It would make it easier to put on and a lot more comfortable since it was now warm. I never used it, because I always just unzipped mine and took the top half down to my waist, to me that is easier than taking it on and off between sets...but anyway, they use it a lot for putting wetsuits back on and really like it....the water gets really warm.

uh... well, I'm hopefully buying a 24v or ordering a 22v in the next week! I'm going to put the shower in myself, unless I just stick to a drysuit!

found out that the 24v I'm lookin' at has a closed cooling system... I dont think its worth $500 to add it on, so I'm going to pass on that.

If you could just send pics of where it's at, location wise how it's hoooked in etc. I have a switch on my row of switches, and I didnt know if it's something I can tie in, etc. I just would rather just throw one on myself, but never seen one. I have a plan, but just curious what's out here.

I saw a pic of it somewhere on a 22i or 22v... I think its in the driver side storage locker, next to the battery.

You can really put it almost anywhere you want it. The hot water line ties into your engine block and the cold water into the main pick up. Those lines go to a controller box that allows you to adjust how much hot vs cold water and then a line from that to where ever you want to hook the shower up at. Mine is in the drivers side rear locker. But my battery is under the observer seat. You then have a quick disconnect to attache/detach the shower hose and nozzle from. I'll try to take some pics tonight for you.

Just a question.... I was always under the impression that a coil of copper tubing was run out of the engine block and intertwined with a coil of tubing coming from the raw water intake to heat the water, therefore you are showering under water from the raw water intake, but not water which had run through the block itself.

It seems this is not the case and you are instead showering with water coming directly out of the block after it has cooled the engine. Is this correct and if so, is it really safe/clean?

this is my first time loading pics so read the post from bottom to top. also i should mention that the pump ( a low gph pump) has caused a but of angst. i have had to replace it 3 times even though we only use the shower a few times per year. as far as the hot water coming from the engine block, i would not be concerned. it's lake water that has spent a very brief time inside the engine. but who knows i may grow another arm tomorrow (jk)

i must have exceeded some limit. this is the actual shower attachment that quick connects to the hose in the locker.

Great info Blur, thanks. Wink

What seems to be the problem with the pump? Does the hot water ruin the impeller perhaps? Shouldn't the pump come under the shower warranty, or is the pump purchased separately?

all times my dealer took care of the pump and even mounted it in 2 different locations and the last time we turned it upside down. (my dealer is the best!) the pumps jst seem to seeze, not sure why. but it's not the impeller. if i were keeping the boat and it happened again, i would just replace it with a high gph simer or somthing, but i'm selling it for a new one so i hope it continues to work well for the new owner.
