Alright first I'm amplifiying the 6 speakers inside my boat('01 SAN). Then I'm putting a 12" Solo Baric at the drivers feet in a custom fiberglassed box. It should look clean. To finish it all off I'm gettin a wetbox speaker box to fit 6 6 1/2" speakers. I shouldnt have any problem hearing it but how many amps..what size..and to where do I wire them. I was putting 600 2 channel bridged to sub. Now what can i do about the other 12 speakers. I wanted to make each pair run off one channel. Get a 4 channel amp for each 6 speakers. What do you think?

I used to have a 4 channel amp, the clarion 4 channel amp, it ran (2) 6x9's, (4) 6 1/2 speakers and a 10 inch sub with no problem.

One of my friends has his own electronic shop and hooked up everything for me, put it this way my buddie has mastercraft x-star and I used to have my malibu sunsetter, his x-star had tower kicker speakers, sub 10 speakers 2 amps sounded good but no good bass, I had my malibu, it ran (2) 6x9's, (4) 6 1/2 speakers and a 10 inch sub and blew my buddies x-star away and only ran one 4 channel amp and hooked up 2 more 6 1/2 up front of the deck. didn't use marine speakers they suck big time. that is one key and having your amp hooked up right, Idea

you ran 8 speakers and a 10"inch sub with a 4 channel amp????? Sounds a bit strange, how did he do this? For one, the sub had to be putting out stereo sound, not to mention ALL the speakers had to be lacking power. What size amp was it?

Sounds like superlift97 was running some of those speakers in mixed mono, or atleast the sub in mixed mono off of a pair of channels.

I'd guess channels 1 and 2 were driving the 6x9s and sub.
Channels 3 and 4 on four of 6 1/2s.
last set of 6 1/2 off of the deck's amp.

I am running a 4 channel amp in my boat, it's taking care of a pair of tower speakers and the 4 speakers in the boat. Works fine and I still have volume control independant for the tower speakers and boat speakers.

Please change your thingy to something else. i had the whole dragon thingy for a reason. i dont care if you wanna be dragon67 or dragon 57 or what ever. but dragon 85 makes no sense. Dragon88 stands for 88(my birith year) and the Dragon part, thats my chinese symbol (born in the year of the dragon)

Sweet boat though!! Mr. Green
