Anybody listen to this? I picked it up yesterday on a whim, and I like most of it alot. I was a PJ freak in college in the mid 90's, then lost interest after, but I think I'm getting back into them.

Anyone have any post "No Code" PJ opinions?

No Code is great, so is "VS" and "Vitalogy"... It's a great band!

I stopped after "No Code", not because I didn't like them, but I just got busy with life after school. I'm picking off where I left off.

The thing is, if you listen to VS through NO Code, you can hear a natural progression of style. TEN, however, seems like a complete anamoly, it has a completely different sound, totally. (my favorite disk of all time, TEN)

Well, Ten is Ten....the reason most of us (PJ-fans) started listening to them from the start....However, now I like the newer stuff better...

I love TEN too. The sound is so etherial, so ambiant and big. Then PJ seemed to abandon that style for a much less produced sound. The songs on TEN just swirl in layers of guitar and this thick, deep sound that the other disks don't have.

The new stuff is good, just in a much different way. It takes a little getting used to, but it grows on you pretty good.
