|
This occurred to me as I was reading the 'Ropes' topic.
What length rope do you ride at? What are the pro's riding at? I put my 8 yr old at 55', I ride at 75'. My 16 yr old learns tricks at 50' then pulls them at 75'. Does anyone ride longer than 75'?
Thanks! _________________ twins? TWINS?? |

Hey All,
I think we're riding up pretty close (55' ±?) 'cause that's where our wake is best. Once I get the ballast arranged and speed adjusted I'll re-assess our riding length ( Oh, ya, I need to get comfy w/ my new board as well)

wesgardner, It's a lot easier to ride at the shorter length, unless you have problems dealing with the wake being right there. It was a bit of an eye opener when I rode that short, just behind where the wake crosses. Try 70' and let me know what you think! _________________ twins? TWINS?? |

HeyCenturionDad,
Yeah, I went out with a guy who was ALOT better than me and that was his recommendation - unfortunately it was near the end of the season so I didn't get too much riding time...the good news is my kids tell me they'll put up with me for another season sooooo....
I'll mess with the water weight this spring and see what's up - then out of frustration I'll sell the Bayliner and get a real wake boat - Ha!

I usually ride at 80' and between 24-17 mph depending on the boat. _________________ My Gallery
