check out transworldsnowboarding.com, you can type in her wieght/level/height and it will recommend boards. Also if you can get a hand on the 2003 board review I would highly suggest any of the 5 girls board they recommend. (Burton Feelgood - great board, only one I can think of off the top of my head.)

I ride a Burton women's board, its a great board, lots of fun and it was easy to learn on. Some of the new Burtons have some pretty cool graphics too. What I did was rent several brands of boards and Burton was what I liked the best.

be careful about getting her a girls board if she has bigger feet, which she might if she is 5,11. most of the girls boards are a lot skinnier and you don't want to get her one that her feet will hang off the edge too much or she will be eating a lot of snow.

Size 10 women's = size 8 - 8.5 in mens. My daughter wears this size. Glad I could have some input, since I'm in FL, I have no idea about snowboards.

well i have size 9 feet and i ride a burton troop (women's specific board). I would definitely say that size 10 feet would be too big for that one because even 9 is cutting it close.
i'm not sure what the width is of mine is but it's something to keep in mind. there are lots of men's boards out there with great graphics as well:)

thanx for all your advice, we picked up a palmer carbon circle 2, and I gotta say I like the looks of it alot more then my board.......its 160 figured thats better for her since it gives a little more stability and she isn't a trickster anyway

thanx again
