my dilemma...
I am looking at moving up from my beginner hydroslide and I found two really good deals...
a 2002 liquid force balance 140 for 257.97
or
a 2001 byerly honeycomb for 329.95
I am an itermediate recreational rider, anyone have any comments about these boards!
I know.... demo them, well I can only get this deal for a short period and live in wisconsin, so demoing right now may not be my best solution...
I am also looking at bindings
2002 exo bindings for $209.95
or
2001 highback bindings for 161.97
the bindings I cant demo so any info would be great! _________________ www.midwestwakeboarder.com

Well, definitely don't spend the $330 on the honeycomb. That board's 3 years old, and is NOT worth that much.
Out of those two, I'd get the Balance. But even that price is kinda high for a board that's 2 years old. You can definitely find a better deal. But out of those two boards I'd go with the Balance.
Again, with the bindings you can find much better deals than those online. You can get 2003 Highbacks for a bit more than $160, and 2003 Exos for about $150. I'm not sure if you're only planning on buying from a shop, but if not definitely buy online (if those are the prices your shop is giving you.) |

ok... whats my best set up for around $400 then?
I know the price of new, but I am trying to save a few bucks... I have other priorities as well! the 2003 and 2002 balance are the same are they not? just different graphics?
the 2003 exo binding price, that is worth looking at..
I am looking for the best deal, not necassarily the newest board and bindings! _________________ www.midwestwakeboarder.com

I have been riding a 2003 Balance for the 4 or 5 rides and really like it. It is quick like a narrow board but feels more stable like a wide board. The Byerlys I have rode seem kind of washy and not very responsive. _________________ Skiing made me board,

Those prices are way too high! Check ebay, the classifieds on this board or Wakeworld, plus give RV a call at grizzley sports, he is great at hooking people up.
I got a 03 Byerly practially new for $150 from WW and ebay has 03 exo's for $160 all day long. _________________ Treat life like a rental car |

I think glass and powder board shop has all their 03 boards 50% off right now. Stick with a brand that your local boardshop(if you have one) sells, then if you need parts or have warranty issues you have somewhere to go right away. _________________ Treat life like a rental car |
