The scarecrows have a reinforced ratchet system. The metal on heal is is alot thicker. They had poblems with them breaking last year.

Their customer service is great. I had a pair on revolts that tore, and they replaced them for free no problem.

from the looks of it the PRS1 are last years scarecrows.

Yeah this years PRS1's do look like last years scarecrow's. I think they basically are and the footbed on this years scarecrows looks a bit thin compared to last years and this years PRS1. Just an observation.

sorry i can't help with the PRS1 question but if you want last years scarecrows you can get a really good deal on them at their website www.nicebindings.com. $144.00. i think im going to buy a pair. i tried them once and they were really good. as for the PRS1s they do look like last years crows so they probably feel similar. good luck i hope you find the answers you are looking for.

what Nice model would be similar to LF Ultras? I like a binding that allows you to move your ankle a bit.
