I'm thinking about putting a tower on my 21' eliminator.

I can't increase the wake size so I thought this would help launch higher..

Any thoughts or opinions???

What's an eliminator? Why can't you make the wake bigger? If you can't make the wake bigger to get more air then you really don't need a tower.

it really won't let you launch that much higher....it will just help out your hang time...
unless you have a small motor I don't see why you couldn't get a bigger wake.....buy some fat sacks or just throw in some cinder blocks/sandbags/women....

aguasurf,

What size sac's would you recommend?

Would you go with 2- 250lb bags or more?

Thanks for the feedback

Fit as many as your put bacj hold and still run. I'd got one 500 lbs sac and two 250 lbs sacs...

Ill second what Tyler*Moore said, put as much as you can as long as you got enough acceleration to pull a rider up

Here is an alternative - prop your boat differently. Assuming you have a 3-blade 14 1/2X26. If you go to a 4-blade 15 1/2X21 you will be able to hold the nose up with some more trim. You can also add a cavitation plate to your stock one to make the trim work better. The downside is that you will lose about 10 mph top end. Your hole shot will rocket though. Finally, on each side of your motor, make an aluminum box for a custom fat sack on each side of the motor. You should be able to add 250 lbs per side. If you have the model I am thinking you have, there is a ski locker or a space where the locker should have been cut out. Another fat sack can be placed into the bilge for trim and additional weight. If you place too much in the back, the Eliminator will bounce uncontrollably. The weight in the front will be necessary for balance. Fly High can custom cut the sacks for you. In the bilge, you will have to glass in some hold downs to keep it in place. Otherwise it will slide around on you. Do not use solid weight. Your boat will sink if swamped.

Tucker, don't put a tower on that boat. I have a baja (same type of boat) and it just doesn't look right. Put a high pole so you can remove it quickly and easy when your not using it.. I am all for the idea but when a tower looks gay on a boat it just looks gay! I understand that most tower can be removed, but with a boat like that it's just not right!

tucker, Eliminator's are badass boats. I've seen one with a Boss Pro Series tower on it and it looked odd.... Try to find a tower with some serious swoop to it and it will look better.

And SAC IT UP! The boat can produce more wake, it just doesn't know it yet!

tucker,

PLEASE do not put a tower on your Eliminator. I have a Caravelle Interceptor that has nice racing lines, nothing like your Eliminator, but still not right for a tower. I installed a 2-piece Skylon high pole; I'm very happy I did. We get good air and plenty of hangtime Cool . When we're not boarding, it breaks down nicely and fits in the ski locker. Another consideration is the boat cover. If you install a tower, you're going to need a custom cover to fit around the struts.

don't put a tower on an eliminator.....if you want to go fast, then don't put the tower on, if you want to wakeboard, buy a wakeboard boat......

we have a friend that had an eliminator (now has a Nordic) and it would have looked like crap with a tower since his wife wakeboards........don't ruin a good boat with that...

thanks for all the comments, I appreciate the opinions.

My eliminator is a "207 ski". Basically a 21' ski boat. Not a race boat.

I'm looking for more launch and also more room. right now, it's tight having 2 wakeboards on the floor as they don't fit in the locker.

I'm looking at the phatbudde as this is who eliminator has a deal with.

I'll look into the high poles also.

Thanks again

tucker, might want to check with 13th floor. they're another company out of so cal that makes a great tower. i see alot of their towers on hallets, which are similar to your boat. they look sweet and are really solid. if you're interested, email me and i'll get you some info.
