I have read the TIGE manual and I have looked at specs and it appears that the 22V Riders and the 22V limited have the same specs. Does that mean they spit out the same wake?
Does that mean one is a lot cheaper and the other one is more expensive? _________________ I'm telling you its jobs,

the riders edition comes with different decals, theres a $150 price difference, both have the same standard options, so you can build both boats the way you want. I have ridden the 22v, really nice wake. I am actually considering the 20V, but would love the 22. _________________ So are you still drinking?

So the factory base price of both boats is only a $150 difference? sweet.
What about the 23V, why isnt this the best one? The weight is much heavier, wouldnt the wake be bigger? Then why in comps and why od the pros ride the 22V?
What is the differnce in wake size for the 20V, 22V, and te 23V? _________________ I'm telling you its jobs,

Inggy,
Tige used to sell the 21V and the 23V. They were replaced in '03 by the 22V and 24V. I think people tend towards the 22 vs the 24 because the 24 is so big. I just got my '04 22V Riders Edition last week. The thing has a ton of room, more then I could ever imagine using, and it barely fits in our dock. The 24 would have definitely been too much boat for us.
I think the difference in wakes is pretty much just basic physics, the beam on the 22V is 6 inches wider, so at riding lengths the wake is going to be a bit wider. The smaller boat is going to require less weight to have an impact on the wake, assuming you need to weight the boat. The 22V with just basic TAPS (TAPS2) throws a pretty darn nice wake for an old guy like me.
As folks have already said, the price difference between the Riders Edition and the Limited is tiny. We went with the Riders Edition because our entire boat is white and we felt like we needed to add a little color somewhere. Because we went with a single gel coat color I think our boat ended up costing less then a multi-color Limited would have. |

also....
if i recall hearing this correctly; Since some lakes have length restrictions on them, the 20v is perfect for those who want a V-drive without going over the length limit (that say, a 22v or 24v would be too long). _________________ www.under360.com |

Bigger doesn't always mean better...for example;
(IMO)
X-2 wake is much better than X-30 wake.
VLX wake is much better than LSV wake.
Without a doubt, the 23' has a ton of room compared to the 21'. But, 23' needs a lot more weight to sink than a 21'. _________________ my demo reel
