Typer, looks pretty good, but here are a few sugestions...
* since more people usually sit in back, I whould power the rear & middle speakers by the Clarion amp. Let the head unit power the fronts, keeping the distortion up front and out of the way. *since high freq.'s dissipate rapidly, I whould use rear speakers that include tweeters, like the middle ones. *I'm not familiar w/Clarion amps, so I don't know where your getting the sub channel from. Does it include a sub output in addition to the 4 channels? How about a 5 ch. amp? Another note... Unless your in salt water, It's ok to go w/ non-marine equipment. You'll be surprised what you'll save. Good luck on your project. _________________ k. |

i agree preston, but i didn't want to tear up his whole system. i whould go w/ (4) mb quart 169's inside the boat. a kicker 10 or 12 soloberic sub, all powered by a rockford 600.5. in addition, i whould run another 600.5 powering another sub, w/ four more mbq 169's in the tower. ea. amp whould have it's own one-ferrad cap, along with a paragraphic eq. and of course, a disk changer. the head unit powers a pr of speakers in the open bow. sub inclosures are seperate, one sealed, one ported. this covers a more diverse lower freq. field, (one 15-30Hz, and an overlap of 25-40Hz) why not get the best of both worlds. typer, what matters most is selecting components that you like and stand by. although, i whould strongly follow preston's advise...clarion marine are not the best available. imo, mbq's are. i have this system. it hits, and the chicks dig it _________________ k. |

Thanks guys for the info. I kind of have no choice but to stick with the clarion marine because thats what the dealer is putting back in the boat. See my boat was being serviced at the dealer and everything got stollen.
They asked me how i wanted it all configured so i drew up the picture. I wish i could tell them to put better speakers but they already saw them. But i did tell them i had bigger amps. lol. But I also have another question about the tower speakers. Should i hook up my tower speakers seperatly to the amp or connect 2 together on each side and bridge both channels. I have 4 tower speakers. Thanks Marco |

simple typer. since you have a 4 ch. amp for the tower, allocate one ch. for ea. speaker. that's the cleanest, most efficient way. _________________ k. |
