What size fins do you use?

I have a Doubleup Pure Ride and I ride finless, as the board has moulded side fins. Is it worth investing in some fins i.e. how different would it be with fins? What fins set up do people here use?

If I have any size molded fins, you won't find me riding with a middle fin. I currently (well, when summer comes) ride a TFD... I have 1.1" fins right now and they're WAY too grippy for me - gonna trade them for some 0.7"s... I like it loose

I ride a byerly finless. IMO rides much better w/out.

there are two 1" fins on each end of my board.

I like really grippy so I use 2.0's on a really small board. I jsut hate it when your cutting in hard and ur fins slip. It really throws me off.

I have the original .9" CSI fins on my Subjekt 137. Man, I love those things...I'd swear they grip like regular fins double their size when edging. The difference isn't as great for stabilizing landings though.

It really depends on the board you ride and how you ride....
You already ride finless why add fins now? people usually go the other way, from fins to no fins.

smlparksguy133 - if you need big fins to keep you on edge when you cut, it sounds like you're not edging properly. I used to ride the original belmont (the Motive) finless and it would never slip out while I was cutting - even though it's got really small molded fins.

Recently I have been rding a LF Balance, with the side molded fins on and a CDI 1.7" on the rear and 1.3" on the front. I can still break it loose for all the surface tricks and it never looses an edge when I am cutting in.

hey guys, i ride a 2002 CWB absolute platinum and i don't ride with any fins, i like the loose snowboard feeling on the water

I ride an older Belmont with 1.0" - there are little to no molded fins on the board.

i ride a substance 136 w/ the factory .8's. mine feels a lot looser than my buddy's premier w/ 1.1's. it's amazing how much 3/10's of an inch makes! Shocked

(that's what she said!) i think the next time i go out i'm gonna try finless.
