My season is now over, but i wanna keep in shape and maybe even get a bit bigger.
I know the pros do alot of cross over training like skateboarding, surfing and stuff in the off season.
What i was wondering about was if they did any weightlifting?? Will weightlifting improve my wakeboarding skills or should i just stick to my snowboard and tramp??

dude, anything that helps you get better in shape will help, trust me. Even walking a lot will help you, cardiovascular system is as important as being muscular. _________________ If violence isn't the answer then what is? |

| I used that workout from wakeworld... You can totally tell a diff. when your behind the boat. I say go for it. I love lifting. But I was wondering if add muscle would hinder your flexability therby hurting your wake skills?? Maybe workout for strength not size? |

| Look at Shapiro. He's pretty damn big for his size and he rips, although people say he's not too stylish, which I would tend to agree with. Skilled, amazingly. Stylish - not very.... I'd go for strength not size... |

you don't want to get like worlds strongest man. look at darin shapiro and Parks Bonifay they are very strong and muscular. just make sure you do streching and cardo and if you work out 3 days a week. youll still be flexible and get stronger. _________________ pointless crew is so insane. |

yea treat your workouts like baseball workouts not football workouts .... u want long lean muscle not short bulky quick muscle ... so do less weight with more reps and stretch before and after .... I think the key areas are shoulders, forearms, abs, quads and calves .. but dont limit yourself to those ... do somethin like 3 sets of 10 for every exercise _________________ "Worrying is like a rocking chair ... gives you something to do but it doesnt get you any where" Van Wilder |

I do alot of rope jumping for cardiovascular.
I also stretch alot in the off season. It helps me with my grabs if I am a little more flexible _________________ I'm telling you its jobs,

always stretch.
streching while working out is essential _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.
