delaminating boards

when DNA boards get scratched and the water gets to the core, does the board delaminate and burst? i heard something about this and wondered....

I've seen it happen to other boards too, not just DNA's. Alot of times, if you get a good ding or chunk taken out of the edge of the board, water will eventually get to the core causing the board to delam....

The balsa likes to soak up water and become really mushy. Just seal it up with some duct tape until you get the time to fix it properly. Its never a good thing to have a hole in your board though.
